Sustainability is a core value of our service here at WCS, so we are pleased to have begun civil engineering design on 4 of 19 required upgrades to overground access points with our client J. Murphy & Sons Ltd. as part of the Civil Asset Maintenance framework for Network Rail.
Wherever we can, WCS are seeking to re-use existing structures and materials in-situ to help drive down the project’s carbon footprint and meet the latest standards on project sustainability. Some examples are the re-use of timber edging, fences, posts, and also the existing fill where appropriate.
