Creyke Beck Substation new on-shore extension
WCS helped our clients, Hitachi Energy, by providing civil engineering design, including design for the foundations of a new 400kV switchgear.
East Anglia Footbridges
Repairs and strengthening works were required to three footbridges at Goodmayes, Seven Kings and Brentwood stations for our client J. Murphy & Sons Limited as part of the CP6 framework.
Green Recovery
Working for our client, UK Power Networks Services (UKPNS) we provided design for new charging stations as part of the very welcome roll-out of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the UK.
Great Western Electrification Project
We provided civils design and checking services, comprising the survey, design and checking of over 30 substation sites and associated HV feeder routes between Maidenhead and Cardiff.
Crutched Fairs Underbridge
WCS provided design for GRIP stages 4 & 5 for essential repairs the damaged brick arch of this brick arch rail bridge between Limehouse and Fenchurch Street for Amco Giffen.
Hinkley Point C
To date, our ongoing remit from UK Power Network Services has included the design of building foundations, access roads and drainage infrastructure of the General Electric compound.
London Underground – Power Upgrade Package
A new Bulk Supply Point and associated 52km of HV cable route. Key management and design interface on behalf of the electrical contractor ABB.
Shoreditch Road Bridge
In collaboration with our clients, J. Murphy & Sons Ltd, we assessed accidental damage and stabilised the structure of a road bridge at Shoreditch High Street caused by excavations.
Welborne Garden Village 132kV Substation
Full civil and structural engineering design for a new 132kV GIS substation for Buckland Developments, powering over 6,000 new homes in Welborne.
