As part of CP6 E&P Asset Management works WCS has spent the last few months helping our client UK Power Networks Services to deliver earthing design schemes and reduce hot sites at 11 substations in Kent and Sussex.
With the support of our suppliers Survey Systems, CET, Zetica UXO we have successfully completed PAS128 utility surveys, unexploded ordnance desk studies and geotechnical investigations, with the last being completed at Chesterfield TP hut during a possession with only 3 hours track access time.
Despite the challenges and by working collaboratively with our clients and partners, the surveys have been completed on program, meaning UKPNS can now safely develop earthing designs taking account of buried services, ground conditions and the potential risk from unexploded ordnance.
