About this Project

We are happy to be engaged in designing this new 33kV substation compound for our client Megson Utilities at a disused site near Nottingham. The substation is required for the IDNO (Independent Distribution Network Operator) Optimal Power Networks to provide power to a new industrial development nearby.

Our role is to provide a comprehensive civil engineering design service for the new compound, including a new steel frame switch room building, foundations for two large 33/11kV transformers, associated trench and duct routes for the HV cable network, and other associated ancillary civils elements.
