Design is underway on the permanent works scheme for repairs to Shoreditch High Street Road Bridge.
WCS attended a meeting on New Year’s Day with Network Rail and J.Murphy & Sons following an urgent call due to accidental damage caused by excavations in the roadway puncturing the deck. Together with the other stakeholders, a scheme of temporary works was agreed to stabilise the structure, ensuring no debris fell on the track below and that Network Rail were able to get the trains moving again.
After presenting options on the permanent repairs, a solution has been agreed and we are on to the next phase, liaising closely with all parties, including NR and TfL for technical approval of the reinstated highway.
