So, it was great to see our strengthening works design to this footbridge at Goodmayes Station finished recently for our client J. Murphy & Sons Limited as part of the CP6 Design Services Framework.
WCS provided design for the installation of a new column, as well as cutting and strengthening to the original girders. But alongside the design, the team were posed a host of further challenges, from tight possessions to even tighter platform widths. Now, after working closely with the other stakeholders Sai Engineering on assurance, Alltask Limited on the temporary works design and Harrisons Engineering Ltd. for the steelwork installation, we are proud to see the job complete and the footbridge fit for purpose again.
