About this project

WCS have been assisting UK Power Network Services through early involvement in their GRIP 3 option selection report on the proposal to upgrade the rolling stock on three Northern Trains routes from diesel to Battery Electric Multiple Units (BEMU).

 This project is at an early stage, with the full scope yet to be determined. Currently, WCS have been assisting our client with their GRIP 3 stage report, identifying potential risks, key civils constraints and preliminary design for substations and cable routes.
