A power upgrade for a crucial train maintenance depot in Doncaster.
Midland Mainline
WCS provided Grip stage 4 & 5 detailed design of the upgrade needed to the existing OLE infrastructure and power system that will enable the operation of 6 additional Electric Powered trains per hour between St Pancras Station and Bedford stations.
East Anglia Footbridges
Repairs and strengthening works were required to three footbridges at Goodmayes, Seven Kings and Brentwood stations for our client J. Murphy & Sons Limited as part of the CP6 framework.
Shoreditch Road Bridge
As part of our Civil Asset Maintenance framework, WCS were called on New Year’s Day to inspect and assess accidental damage to the road bridge at Shoreditch High Street caused by excavations at street level.
Willesden Overbridge
Urgent works were required for our client, J. Murphy & Sons Ltd. as part of their Civil Asset Maintenance contract with Network Rail on this overbridge in Willesden.
Morris Street Bridge Strengthening
Significant defects were encountered at this rail overbridge in Shadwell, East London. WCS was called to site to carry out multiple inspections for our client and the Network Rail assessment team.
Reading West Station
WCS has provided a complete civil & structural engineering design service for this new ticket hall and nearby ticket gate for Reading West station.
Hinkley Point C
WCS provided permanent and temporary works design for the General Electric (GE) compound at one of Europe’s largest power projects for our client UK Power Networks Services.
Green Recovery
On this project for UK Power Networks Services (UKPNS) WCS provided on-site survey support and cable route design for new charging stations as part of a very welcome roll-out of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the UK.
Padiham – 132 kV GIS Substation
WCS were asked to provide both the temporary works design and to provide civils assurance for the permanent works design for Hitachi Energy at Padiham National Grid substation, Burnley.
