Braving the cold winter night, it was good to be out on surveying duties last week assisting our clients J. Murphy & Sons Limited on another project replacing essential rail infrastructure as part of their Civil Asset Maintenance contract with Network Rail.
Whitfield Consulting Services has designed both permanent works replacement and temporary works excavation support for a new undertrack drainage crossing and trackside catchpits in Brentwood, Essex.
Despite limited track access and within very tight constraints, we were able to organise the topographical and buried asset surveys required to validate the design and keep the project on target.
