This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the UK’s transition to clean energy while developing your technical and professional career within a supportive consultancy environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

You will deliver structural designs for a wide range of infrastructure works, including substation buildings, transformer bunds, steel structures, equipment concrete foundations and cable management systems. Working collaboratively with civil, geotechnical, and electrical engineers, you will support projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed engineering and construction support.
You will be responsible for managing calculations, drawings, specifications, and design deliverables, ensuring compliance with UK and industry design standards such as Eurocodes, National Grid and DNO requirements. Quality, safety, and buildability are central to everything you do, with Health & Safety and CDM considerations embedded throughout the design process.

What You’ll Bring

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a design consultancy environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK design codes and standards
  • Experience using structural analysis and design software (e.g. Tekla TEDDS, Robot or similar)
  • Working towards ICE or IStructE chartership
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills

A clean UK driving licence is desirable for occasional site visits and inspections.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a respected and growing consultancy within the infrastructure and energy sectors
  • Work on challenging, meaningful projects that support sustainable and low‑carbon energy solutions
  • Enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, including strong support toward professional development and chartership
  • Thrive in a collaborative, flexible working environment with clear progression opportunities
