Although a long way from Glasgow and the COP26 conference, it felt apt to meet our clients UK Power Network Services on site this week to kick off our work on the Green Recovery electric vehicle charging project.
WCS is providing survey support and engineering design on a series of HV supplies for future EV charging for cars and busses at three motorway service stations and six bus garages across the south-east.
It was not only a great opportunity to catch up with our clients and get started on the project, but a timely reminder of the central role that civil engineering will play in decarbonising our infrastructure for a greener, more sustainable future.
